Business Project:

It was agreed with the Human Resource Director, that the business would like to better understand the experience of, knowledge of and accessibility to mental wellbeing support from the bottom up opposed to top down. This would not only improve HR measures such as turnover, absence, wellbeing benefit uptake and engagement but would also give the business a better understanding of where their resources would be best placed in addition to giving their employees a voice where they felt they were listened to and their feedback was implemented.

Result:

A bespoke research analysis was conducted to gain an understanding of any key issues. This analysis then formed the basis for the wellbeing questionnaire to evaluate the existing mental wellbeing framework. The survey was rolled out and data analysed using statistical analysis. In addition verbatim comments were analysed for re-occurring themes. These findings formed the basis for recommendations linked to each area of the business HR, Marketing (for internal and external communication and Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy), Reward and Recognition, Talent Development and Talent Acquisition. Quick wins and longer-term strategic initiatives have been rolled out as a result of this project and updates are regularly posted on LinkedIn.

Testimonial:

"Sarah managed a project to evaluate health and wellbeing support available to employees across the business.  The aim of the project was to understand what support was available to employees and managers, how existing support tools were being utilised and what was lacking specifically in relation to mental health.  This involved extensive research across various areas of the business, directly engaging with a number of teams including the leadership team to produce a comprehensive report on business wide recommendations with both quick wins and long term strategic interventions.  The project led the a significant investment in supporting the mental health of our employees including the appointment of over 40 mental health first Aiders and training for 300 managers"
