Mindfulness
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is based on 7 attitudes (Jon Kabat-Zinn): Non judgement, Patience, Beginners Mind, Trust, Non Striving, Acceptance and Letting Go. It is a regular practice that helps increase your awareness and ability to be full present; helping you to live in the now.

Although its roots are in Buddhism, Mindfulness is an inclusive practice and not based on any religion. It is an approach that helps us explore the world with curiosity and with a warmth and kindness to ourselves and others. You do not have to have any experience to practice Mindfulness with us. Everyone is welcome.

I run a number of NICE and NHS recommended courses for adults and children.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR):
A pioneering breakthrough in the treatment of stress; adopted into the mainstream medical approaches worldwide. This programme is usually taught in a group setting, however 121s are available on request. MBSR can help with conditions such as stress, anxiety, pain, cancer, rheumatism, addictions and eating disorders.

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT):
This programme builds on MBSR and is designed to help people with a history of depression and those prone to relapse. MBCT is also delivered in group sessions over a period of 8 weeks, however 121s are also available on request.

Corporate 121 and Team Sessions:
If you are looking for a bespoke solution, whether this is a one off session or a programme, please contact me. I have extensive experience in working with corporate clients both remotely or in person on site.
Mindfulness for Children (7-11 years):

Children's sessions run on a weekly basis. These sessions are focused on social interaction, reducing stress and anxiety and improving focus and attention, which has in turn been proven to improve academic performance.. I have a full DBS check and am well experienced in working with children of all backgrounds and abilities.

Mindfulness Now Programme:
This is another 4 or 8 week programme, approved by the British Psychological Society (BPS). It is great for 121 sessions, however it can run just as well in a group setting. Also aimed to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and pain, this programme is followed by a 'gift' day or a short beach retreat experience.
