Following an annual engagement survey administered via Best Companies, Sarah was called on by the Managing Director and Finance Director via the Human Resource Director to develop a robust career pathway for the Recruitment Consultant and compliance team and the Finance division.
A series of bespoke focus group sessions with the management team in addition to team members in the division and further analysis of the HR data took place to better understand the existing perception and routes to progression and to build the ‘to be’. The pathway was developed and supporting documents including new job descriptions and salary bandings were agreed, based on benchmarked data across the industry. Following this, the engagement survey results increased dramatically a year after the pathway was implemented, with the department promoting a number of the team members using the objective assessment tools provided; leading to increased morale across the business and an increase in diversity and skill set at a more senior level.
